Live music on the first floor, seven Sundays without the nearest metro, and two rule changes that land on the same day this month. What is dated is here; what is not dated is not. The Eiffel Tower evening tours sit alongside all of it.
The first floor carries a seasonal terrace from June, themed this year on “intersecting reflections”: shaded pergolas and seating 60 metres up, a central bar, an artisanal ice-cream stand and a mirrored photo booth. The tower’s own signature cocktail, La vie en fleurs, can be reserved as an option when you buy your ticket.
Its hours run with the monument rather than beside it: 9.30am to 10pm up to 11 June, 9am to 11.30pm from 12 June, and back to 9.30am to 10pm from 31 August. Every ticket holder reaches the first floor, so nothing extra is needed to walk onto it.
A run of Thursday-evening DJ sets on the first floor, curated by Agoria for his Sapiens Records label and featuring around ten artists from the Paris electronic scene. The dates still to come this year:

One thing worth flagging, because you will hit it if you go looking: the tower’s own article describes the run as ending on 3 September and then lists a 10 September date underneath. Both are printed on the same page. The dates in the table are the ones it actually publishes.
Line 6 is being modernised, so the section between Charles de Gaulle – Étoile and La Motte-Picquet – Grenelle is suspended on seven Sundays this autumn — which closes Bir-Hakeim, the station closest to the tower.

A replacement bus runs on those days. Trocadéro on line 9 and École Militaire on line 8 are unaffected, buses 30, 42 and 82 stop nearby, and the Quai Branly car park is a few minutes’ walk. The map page has every approach.
Two rule changes land on the same date, and both are worth knowing before you book anything for the autumn.
Groups. Any group of more than nine people, guide included, must buy online through the tower’s professional platform. Ticket-office sales to groups stop, splitting a group at the desk is prohibited, and a guide may accompany only one group of up to eight visitors per 30-minute slot. Any guided or accompanied visit is mandatory at least as far as the second floor.
Stairs. From the same date, stair tickets require an advance reservation. Turning up and climbing stops being an option. The stairs tours already book ahead.

The fireworks are worth remembering for next year rather than this one: they are launched from the Champ-de-Mars and watched from there and from the Trocadéro, and the tower itself shuts to visitors on the day of the display.
